We believe that the most effective care and education of children requires regular and open communication between parents and teachers. Teachers record information on details of each child's day to share with parents. Parent-Teacher Conferences are held quarterly in the Infant Room and twice a year in the older rooms. If you have particular concerns about your child's development or their care, you may request a conference at any point in the year. The Director is also available as needed.

BITC invites parents to become involved in our program. The Center welcomes current parents to speak with the teacher to arrange a time to visit. We welcome you to share your talent or interest, to bake muffins, or just spend a little time visiting in your child's classroom. There are opportunities to be involved in the classroom community by assisting with important tasks as well, such as repairing a seam on a doll's dress or helping to organize a family event.
All of us at BITC value parental involvement in the life of the Center. We strive to create an atmosphere that encourages communication. Your ideas, questions, concerns, and support are important.

Parent Testimonials

I don’t use the word “blessing” very often. But there’s honestly no better word to describe what BITC has meant in our lives, what it will always mean. From the first day we walked in with our first born 12-week baby boy, to the day our daughter graduated, our ten years at BITC were simply incredible. Every teacher, administrator and staff person gives their whole hearts to your children. They support social, emotional and cognitive growth better than any educators I’ve ever met. Their curriculum is intentional, comprehensive, compassionate, and creative, and they always lead every decision and every step of your journey there with love, acceptance and inclusivity. BITC feels like a family because it is. Once you are part of it, your teachers will become incredible, non-judgmental parenting partners. You will have educators who adore your kids for who they specifically are. You will be in a place where your treasured child is authentically seen and heard, every step of the way. We cried the day we left BITC, not quite knowing how we’d all get by without the warmth and support of this tremendous force in our life. But the thing is, we didn’t have to worry, because the folks at this amazing childcare center stay with you. They check in on you. And they mean it when they say you can always come back for a hug- metaphorical or real. There’s no way to overemphasize the gratitude we have for what BITC has done for us, and for so many. BITC will be our family forever, and became that the moment we walked in that very first day. How deeply lucky we are that we did.

BITC has been wonderful for our family. I love BITC. My 4 year old has been going to BITC since she was 6 months old and I have never once worried about her safety or happiness while there. She has clearly been loved and nurtured every day by every one of her teachers, they feel like family. She learns so much at BITC, and comes home exhausted from a full day of playing inside and outside, doing art projects, singing songs, dancing, yoga, and myriad other activities with all her friends. Everyone is unfailingly kind and considerate, and it is clear that the children are the top priority for everyone who works at BITC. I cannot say enough good things about the teachers and the community at BITC. My 8 month old has been at BITC for 3 months now and I’m so happy for him to spend the next 4 years there. He greets his teachers with a huge smile and great enthusiasm every day. The relief I feel knowing that my children are in such great hands while I’m working is immeasurable.

BITC is just family, plain and simple. They’ve helped to raise our children and for that, I will be eternally grateful.

When we were looking for a safe, nurturing, fun, childcare environment for our little one, there was only one place that matched our priorities, and that was and is BITC! We know, we went to 13 places! What set BITC apart from the rest for us, was the longevity of the staff. These are people that love what they do and adore one another! BITC teachers and administration care deeply for our children, not only their safety and health, but their social emotional needs as well.During the initial days of Covid, our child’s teacher would send videos of Pete the Cat read aloud with music, and all teachers worked tirelessly to create and provide age-appropriate bags of crafts and activities for families to grab and go, making sure our littles knew that their teachers were thinking of them during confusing times. Each year has brought fun and loving teachers who bring creativity and a passion for learning into our munchkin’s life!As parents, we have always felt heard, respected, and part of a team on behalf of our child. At BITC, your child will learn amazing things about themselves and the world, and most important they will feel safe and loved.  Isn’t that exactly what we want for our kids?
